I know C00LMAN123 in real life, and he wouldn't (no offense) be able to install a mod if a tutorial hit him in the face. It is probably lag either server side (which I doubt) or client side, probably on yours.
While it is still possible for him to be using a mod, it is highly unlikely, plus the server would kick him if he was using it server side.

yes the server would automatically kick him if he was flying next time relog and he will be standing on solid ground
