When you were banned: 19m 30s ago (no time stamp)

Staff member who banned you: MathewIsAnApple

Reason you were banned: Xraying

Just banned for Xraying, it said the way I would dig my tunnels was why I was banned. When getting ancient debris, I sweep mine in random directions until i hit ancient debris, then I would change direction (or if i hadn't hit some in a while I would change). Apparently I was hitting debris too often, but that just means I'm lucky, not xraying. And at the start of my 5h mining trip I was actually having really bad luck with this (so I'm guessing you took the data from the last hour or so?) Anyway I wasn't Xraying, I would love to be unbanned so I can build my base.

:)

I have very carefully reviewed your mining from the last 24 hours, including both the start of your mining trip and the end, along with the middle of it. Your side tunnels are very suspicious looking - though most of them didn't lead to debris. The real issue is the up and down tunnels. Your tunnels, for the most part, are the standard 2x1 blocks, mining in a straight line with the occasional turn. The turns seemed random, not leading to ancient debris, as suspicious as it looked.

However, with looking specifically where you got the ancient debris, there's one thing that stays the same with every single one: It's off the path you were previously mining. Every single debris was 1-2 blocks covered up before you found it, not mined into it with your tunnels. In a few instances, your ancient debris was mined well above your head, with no reason to have mined up in that specific spot. You'd mine it, sometimes cover it back up with netherrack, and then keep going on the existing path, showing you had no intention of going up, and rather just mined there as you knew there'd be debris there. Not once did that occur without there being debris there.

Due to issues with character limits, I can't upload the screenshots I have taken. However, there are multiple instances of mining straight up or down, taking debris, then covering it up, and resuming the path you were just on.

I have been checking people for x-ray for close to 5 years now. There's certain traits all of them have, and certain ways each of them try to cover it up. In this case, you had a very good way to deny it with the way some paths lead to nowhere, or missing those 1-vein ones somewhat close to you, but never skipped on more than one even once.

Banning someone who has the intentions of playing on the server and building, or wanting to have fun with their friends online is not something I like to do. If there was any uncertainty that you didn't do it, I would give the items back to you and unban you right away. But in this case, as close as it is, there's too many times that it cannot be attributed to luck. Had you mined less, or not shown it off, or not tried to sell it right away, maybe you would've been fine, but you didn't.

I hope to see you back on the server in a week without any sort of cheating involved. Your netherite items have been confiscated, and you are free to build your house when you get back. Please make sure to review the rules before you come back to avoid anything else in the future, as I also have a very reasonable suspicion you had been griefing a base right before I logged in.

For some reason I can't seem to post the one screenshot where you were covering up blocks. I have been able to share it to the staff team through discord, but not here. Anyways, I have this post instead. This one was one of many instances of going in a single tunnel, mining straight down to debris, then starting a new tunnel (that one ended up randomly turning to some debris later too).

In the other instance, you mined straight up, kind of the opposite of this, but instead of starting a new path up top, you tried covering up the evidence and kept on the same path. In both these cases, ancient debris was not visible from the path you were on, and you mined extra blocks in the area - not something you did in other places - in order to find it.
