Minetown

Do you guys remember anything about the Main server of minetown? That server got minetown started, it got minetown all the fame I guess you could say, without the main server minetown might not be what it is today, well that's what I think <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object> September of 2010, Ahh the Alpha days. Good Times they were, very good. <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> All the memories of the old minetown are so unforgettable. They are some of the best nostalgia times i've ever had on minecraft <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object> All my old friends, the staff members, the towns, just everything was great! All around great community to be in, that was the time you didn't have to worry about griefers or hackers, you could just have so much fun! Those were the days I tell ya. Now i know some people might look at this and think well I was never there for those days, so i'm not really worried about em.., but I assure you if you were to take the time to go back to the Good old main server, then yes you would love it! Now here's what i'm getting at, I tend to get on the main server quite often and I rarely ever see anyone on but myself.. why is that?? :( I want to see all the old players having a great time on the main server and heck even the new players of minetown just to see what i was like back then, cause a lot of the main server never changed because all the old stuff is still there =D And that's good! i just want to see people getting on the main server again, that would really please me <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> Now don't get me wrong I like some the newer servers minetown has to offer, but there will never be a server like the good old main one. <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> I really hope to get some people to read this and maybe just think about what I said here today, that would really please me. I disagree. That map lasted longer than anyone could reasonably have hoped, but it had to die sometime. Most of us got over it and moved on quite awhile ago except for those stubborn few who seem to think letting go of an old Minecraft map might as well be the literal end of the world.

With the amount of time I have put into playing on main/classic what ever you want to call it over the last two plus years I have been here would upset me to no end. Just suggesting we do away with classic makes me want to install an add on to copy my portion of the map to preserve all i have put in. Now I don't know who the OP is, nor do i understand why his joining date is only a few months ago but i feel his pain. I play on pearl now because It feels much like Main did back in the good ol' days, to me at least.I would really like it is there was a way to condense and revive the main server to get more people on it. I think the worst part of classic is the beyond massive oceans surrounding it and many of the half complete projects and towns that no one has access to. there are other things that could be done to improve the server too but it's really feeling like most don't care all that much about it anymore and want to move on without fully letting go. I'm all for preserving it though.
