It would be really awesome if you could turn rotten flesh into something you could actually use. For example you could cook it in a furnace and it could turn into cooked pork or steak. At the moment it is just a useless thing that you always seem to have too much of.
Cooking rotten flesh to turn it into something that comes from a pig? Sounds legit!
There is no point to this, if you want cooked pork cook some pork...
Rotten flesh is useful, if you're running out of food in a cave, kill some zombies and you're good to go, I don't see it as pointless.

It restores hunger, and it doesn't always poison you. I would say it's useful enough.

It doesn't poison you! It only makes your hunger go down more quickly for 30 seconds or so, therefore, if you have enough of it you can fill your bar for long enough to restore full health!
I don't see this to be an issue that many of us have.
