The faction type is Builders, and Mercenary is only part of the name. It would imply like a "gun for hire" but in this case a "builder for hire." That is what I think Crux means.

Wouldent it just be simpler to can your selv "Builders Guild"? When i see "Mercenary" i expect "gun for hire".

It may be confuseing for some.
